Hair Tutorial
Ok so this is my first ever tutorial, so bear with me.
Ok this tutorial is for paint shop pro 7 and is done using an ILCK base
Here is A breef Overview :

Ok you make a new layer called hair. Choose the color you are going to use and make a rough outline of a section of the hair. It doesn't matter if you clean it up or not.

Flood Fill the section using the same color as the outline. And then using the dodge tool -Set to Size:1Hardness:8 Opacity:6- you make several lines following the direction of the hair.

After that use the Darken RGB tool set to-size 7(may vary)Hardness 0 Opacity 11(may vary)- And darken the top part of the hair and along thye farther side and anywhere else you feel (as shown in the pic)

Next you use the Lighten RGB set to-size 7(may vary) Hardness 0 Opacity 8(may vary)-And lighten the side closest to the face as wel as giving highlights

Next use the smudge tool set to-size 1 Hardness 100 Opacity 61- And smudge (not too much) the areas to gether to create "strands"(Optional: After the above steps you can go over again with the dodge tool to creat more "strands")

Create a new layer and repeat all of the above stpes for the other side of the head. Afterwards go to the previous layer and create a shdow under where the top layer hits it. (I hope that made sense)

Next create a new layer(for the back of the hair) and again make a rough outline of the hair

Flood fill and create strands.

Drag the layer to behind the the head(or erase everything but what should be visible) And a little shading and now you are finished!
